God Is Her Bestie’s message: the unshakable peace that comes when you truly know yourself through God.
The Power in Knowing Yourself
There is an innate power in choosing yourself everyday; not the version expected of you – because your life was never meant to be understood by everybody – but the version God called you to be. The more you lean into who God created you to be, the freer you become. You stop living for approval and start living in alignment. You stop apologizing for your light and start walking in it fully.
When you choose yourself, the world loses its power to shake you because your heart learns to rest in who you truly are. And with every small choosing, your bond with your Creator grows softer, stronger, and unshakable. Nothing anyone says can sway you. Your heart rests in who you truly are. As your bond with God deepens, you begin to trust His plan for you even more. God already knows who you are and it’s time you understand yourself.
Life is a journey of trials and tribulations meant to align us with who we were always destined to be. When you take the time to know yourself and trust Him, you see that tribulations aren’t here to destroy you, but to grow you. God never burdens a soul with pain beyond its capacity. The path may not be easy, but you walk it with knowing, with faith that all will be well, and with clarity that every step is shaping you into the woman you were born to become.

There is an art in understanding who you are. Once you’ve truly mastered it, you’ve acquired a skill many crave in this lifetime. Taking yourself on a solo date becomes more than ‘self-care;’ t’s a way of meeting yourself, uninterrupted, unbothered by the outside world. It’s a reminder that even if you stand alone, you will always be okay because you and God are enough.
There is a soft power in sitting alone in a bakery, unbothered, at peace in your own company. A quiet grace exists in being authentically you – the woman God created you to be. When a woman is assured in who she is, nothing can phase her. Self-clarity and self-recognition are more powerful than any qualification. When you tune into God’s plan for you, you realize that those who haven’t taken the time to know themselves will inevitably feel intimidated.

They may project their limiting beliefs onto you, but their opinions no longer define you. They’re here for their own lessons and they may feel as though they’re looking out for you by telling you to ‘protect yourself’ but you already know you’re protected; you know no matter what happens, A, B or C each outcome is making you into a better you; your faith was just built that way. You know the journey of life is a test, no desire out of reach is ever placed in your heart. When you want something deeply, and you pursue it with conviction, it is already halfway within reach. So when you hear, ‘that’s unlikely to happen these days,’ remember – God may have sent that voice as a test of your faith.
Because when you ask, you always receive. Everything you long for lives within your capability. Stop letting those who haven’t taken the time to know themselves convince you that you’re chasing a dreamland. It’s not a dreamland; it’s a union with God. A union where you completely surrender into his calling for you and you know he’s got your back, always.
Because when you know who you are, you walk differently. You enter rooms where people don’t like you, and you thrive. You hear whispers about you, and you rise. You know you’re shielded, you know you’re protected. You no longer need to prove yourself to anyone; you just want to be a better woman than you were yesterday.
The best growth happens when you surrender to God’s calling, when you trust His plans above your own. Because when God is your bestie, you are never alone.
