Nothing Personal, Just Life <3

What a privilege it is to be able to sit with your own thoughts in peace.

In a world that constantly demands noise, reaction, and movement, the ability to create your own world of tranquility, is a rare form of wealth. Peace with your thoughts is not something you stumble upon by accident; it’s cultivated through self-honesty, self-awareness, and a deep trust in God.  When you’ve worked to create safety in your inner world, silence doesn’t feel empty; you understand distractions aren’t needed to feel alive; a simple coffee alone or a good book can bring you all the happiness you need – because you are at home within yourself.

This also requires you to take nothing personally; fulfilment begins when you understand that most of what happens around you is not about you at all. People respond from their wounds, their fears, their conditioning, and their current capacity to love or understand. We all grow at our own pace, and it’s okay to know they might not be where you are. When you stop internalising every reaction, rejection, or misunderstanding, you free yourself from unnecessary suffering. Taking nothing personally doesn’t mean becoming cold or detached; it means becoming grounded within yourself. You observe without absorbing. You protect your peace by recognising that your worth is not shaped by someone else’s behaviour. It’s almost like understanding the beauty of detachment; knowing every single person you come across has a story; everyone.

Every soul you meet carries a history we cannot see. Joys, griefs, regrets, secret prayers. When you truly understand this, your heart softens. You become slower to judge and quicker to offer grace. Compassion becomes instinctive. We don’t know anybody’s situation; even those who disappoint you are navigating something you may never fully understand. This awareness doesn’t necessarily excuse harmful behaviour, but it allows you to move through life with empathy rather than bitterness. You realise that gentleness isn’t weakness.

When you remember that life is temporary, everything becomes softer. ‘The reality of being a Godly woman takes discipline and clarity of the heart. It takes a deep trust and understanding that this world is temporary, nothing in this world belongs to us. The best plans for your life are His plans. And when you walk through life with this innate knowing that in every moment, He always has your best interest at heart, life just has a way of working out for you.’ (The Art of Being Preserved).

The urgency to prove, compare, or rush begins to fade. You stop clinging to outcomes and start focusing on alignment. Walking with God means trusting that every season, even the painful ones, is shaping you. You are not here to be perfect; you are here to be refined. Each experience becomes a lesson, each delay a protection, each blessing a reminder of divine care. In seeing life this way, growth feels purposeful, and peace feels possible, no matter where you are on the path.

It’s imperative that you see life as a temporary journey where you walk hand in hand with your Creator, becoming the best version of yourself.
